With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert S. Mertine (New Paltz, New York), born in Tillson, New York, who passed away on October 28, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert S. Mertine to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mertine and Ruth Mertine (Paradise); his wife Jean; and his son Dale. He is survived by: his children, Robert H. Mertine (Alicia), Teresa Kurta (Wilfried), Frederick Mertine (Cheryl) and Cynthia L Vaselewski (Michael); and his brothers, Richard Mertine, John Mertine of Florida, Junior Curtis, Roger Curtis and Hank Curtis of Kingston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Copeland-Hammerl Funeral Home (162 S Putt Corners Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
