He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hirt and Shirley Hirt (Nourse); and his brother Frederick Hirt. He is survived by: his brother Richard Hirt (Mary); his sister-in-law Cindy Hirt (Larry Ferris); his sibling's children, Brian Hirt (Alana), Lisa Dean (Larry), Kyle Hirt (Lisa), Andrew Hirt (Nichole) and Mallory Polisse (Kyle); and his aunts, MaryJane Sweetland and Virginia Collinson.
