He was predeceased by : his parents, Salvatore Merchant and Rosalie Merchant (Scatterazza); and his friend Richard Zigrino. He is survived by : his children, Kristin C. Merchant and Jason J. Merchant; his daughter-in-law Rebecca Lee Nokes of Annandale, VA; his sister Ann Lamandia; and his sisters-in-law, Catherine Hiffa (Lola), Alicia Hiffa and Theresa Merchant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
