She was predeceased by: her daughter Elsa McElroy; and her siblings, Olga Arán, Berta Arán, Ramón Arán and Raúl Arán.
She is survived by: her husband Ovidio L. Méndez; her daughter Esther F. Méndez (Alex Ramos); and her grandchildren, Matthew McElroy and Alexandra Ramos. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Redden Funeral Home (325 W 14th St, New York, NY 10014). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (330 W 14th St, New York, NY 10014).
