He was also cherished by his family and friends.

Eugene loved cats and worked with a rescue charity.

“I have just learned of Eugene's passing. I knew Eugene when I was the Director of the A.R.E. of NY Center. Eugene volunteered as a Receptionist there for a number of years. He was a lovely person and was wonderful in the role of receptionist. I remember him with love and gratitude and am praying for his ongoing journey on the other side.”
