With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joanne DuPont Foster (New York, New York), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on April 20, 2024 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joanne DuPont Foster to pay them a last tribute.

As Joanne DuPont departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joanne DuPont. Though Joanne DuPont may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by : her husband Raymond C. Foster; her son Rogers Pleasants Jr.; and her sister Elizabeth Strauss. She is survived by : her children, Estee Lynch and John Pleasants; and her grandchildren, Ashley Lynch-Ford, Jack Pleasants, James Pleasants and Josie Pleasants.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the St. James Episcopal Church (865 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10021).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the following dog rescues; Big Dog Haven, Operation Scarlet Shar Pei Rescue; or her favorites The Metropolitan Opera and the Frick Museum.
