We are sad to announce that on November 29, 2025, at the age of 87, Melvin Parker CSM in New York, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Melvin leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Parker and Bessie Felton Parker; and his son Alex Parker. He is survived by: his daughter Rhona Parker; and his cousin Thomas "Skeet" Sharpe. He is also survived by brother; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and caring friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Historic First Baptist Church (727 Scotland St, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
