She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Wilson and Marjorie Wilson (Floodman); her husband Gordon W. VanAuken; and her grandsons, Mikel P. VanAuken and Aaron VanAuken.
She is survived by: her children, Paul VanAuken (Kimberlee) and Brianne Benge (Paul Singer); her grandchildren, Caprice VanAuken, Laura Berghash (Zachary), Breille Benge and BJ Benge; and her great grandchildren, Ellison and Grace Berghash.
