It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine Langbein of Newburgh, New York, born in Sparrowbush, New York, who passed away on July 9, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles J. Thornton and Martha Zurn Thornton; her husband Herman A. Langbein; her siblings, Charles "Herk" Thornton Jr. and Betty Blauvelt (Wallace); and her son-in-law Donald Ellison.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia J. Ellison of Bullville, Joanne M. Jones of Maybrook and Stephen P. Langbein (Cindy) of South Centerville; her grandsons, Gregory Jones, Jeffrey Ellison (Lindsey), Marc Ellison (Ramon), Jordan and Ryan Langbein; her sister-in-law Jeanne Thornton-Schwager; and her nieces, Kathy Weiss and Lori Blauvelt. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
