He was predeceased by: his parents, Orazio Schipani and Emma Schipani (D'Agostino); and his brothers, Gianni, Antonio, Giuseppe, Mario and Alfonso.

He is survived by: his wife Luisa Esposito; his children, Fulvio Schipani of Milan, Italy and Deborah Sito (Massimo) of Milan, Italy; his granddaughter Giada Sito; his sister Antonietta Mazzola; and his siblings-in-law, Josephine Guerriero, Francesco Esposito (Antonina) and Anna Maria Tinelli (Joseph).
