He was predeceased by: his parents, George T. Holohan and Anna Ezykowich Holohan; his brother George; his son-in-law Robert Boden; and his brother-in-law John Quinlan.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Clarke Holohan; his children, Denise Boden of Riverhead, Sharon Lamendola (Thomas) of Wurtsboro, Denis Holohan Jr. (Vicki) of Wurtsboro, John Holohan (Bozena) of Wake Forest, NC and Maryann Swensen (Craig) of Wurtsboro; his grandchildren, Melissa, Eric, Amy, Bryan, Jessica, Thomas Jr., Christina, Katrina, Joan Ellen, Denis III, Stephanie, Kyle, Tiffany, Christopher, Connor, Courtney, Cassidy and Kellie; his siblings, James Holihan (Connie) of New Port Richie, FL and June Anderson of Cottonwood, AZ; and his sister-in-law Catherine Quinlan. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
