She was predeceased by: her parents, Alanson Short Sr. and Mary Short (Jordan) of Newburgh. She is survived by: her children, Donald Deyo (Carol) of Connecticut, Robert Deyo (Fiorina) of Newburgh and Cynthia Eagle; her siblings, Alanson Short Jr. (Sonny), William Short (Dorothy) of Florida and Beverly Ferguson (late Samuel) of Texas; her grandchildren, Robert (Tony) and Ashley Deyo (Kevin Kelly) of Milton; her great grandchildren, Lucas and Noah; and her pet Patron.
Her passing was sudden due to a Covid infection and followed nearly 2 years of heartbreaking Covid-sequester at Sapphire Nursing Home where she struggled with COPD/dementia.
