It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Gordon Decker (Newburgh, New York), who passed away on November 30, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Charles and Mabel Decker (Willis); and his siblings, James, Kurt, Blair, Bobby and Shirley.
He is survived by: his significant other Liz Sarvis; his children, Gary John Decker (Lorraine) of Newburgh, Guy Walter Decker (Joyce) of Phoenix, AZ, Diane Elaine Decker, Debra I. Turley (Michael) of Fountain and Glen Decker (Jackie) of Clarksburg, WV; his grandchildren, Kathleen Decker, Glen Decker, Kristen Waters (Anja) and Amy; his great grandchild Bowdi Decker; and also Max. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As Ernie's dogs were so very special to him, memorial contributions in lieu of flowers in Ernie's memory may be made to the Town of Newburgh Animal Shelter, 645 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.
