He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Turner and Marie Thomson Turner; his daughter Doris Turner Coleman; and his sons-in-law, James Coleman and Elijah Hayes.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Hayes and Harold L. "J. R.". He is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid, no services are planned at this time.
