He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold H. Smith and Sally King; his wife Frances; and his daughter-in-law Lori Smith. He is survived by: his children, Leo Smith (Kim) of Pine Bush, Shawn Smith (Karen) of Wallkill, Mark Smith of Gansevoort and Karen Smith of Poughkeepsie; his grandchildren, Virginia, Jake, Sam, Hilary, Matt, Jessie and Shane; his great grandchildren, Ellie and Esmae; his cousins, Bonnie and Katrina Kaiser; his sister-in-law Ina Hamblin; and his friend Hector. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
