He was predeceased by: his father Gus Gekakis; and his brother Thomas Gekakis. He is survived by: his mother Ann "Nancy" Fitzpatrick Gekakis; his siblings, Ann "Nancy" Allard (Louis) of Olive Branch, MS, Kathleen Fogarty (Timothy) of Cornwall, NY, Elizabeth "Betsy" Gekakis of Spring Valley, CA, Latifah Slade (Anwar) of Frankston, Paul Gekakis of Newburgh, NY, Peter Gekakis (Norma) of Salem, OR, James Gekakis of Rexford, NY and Nicholas Gekakis (Elizabeth) of San Diego, CA.; and his sister-in-law Carol Gekakis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
