It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Jean Bailey (Newburgh, New York), born in Salemburg, North Carolina, who passed away on November 12, 2019, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ablee Boykin and Eliza Boykin (Hill); her daughters, Mary Boykin and Teneka Patterson; and her siblings, A. W. Boykin, Earl Boykin, Jimmy Lee Boykin, Thomas Boykin, Junior Boykin, Jasper Boykin and Helen Boykin.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Boykin of Kingston, Joseph Purvis of Newburgh, Carolyn Bent of Kingston and Linda Boykin of Newburgh; her sister Pernell Boykin of Newburgh; and her grandchild Soleil Bent. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
