He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Gaetano and Rose Cavaliere Gaetano; his wife Pauline Gallifuco Gaetano; and his brother Richard Gaetano. He is survived by: his children, Richard Gaetano (Donna) of Highland and Cathy Gaetano of Newburgh; his brothers, Frank Gaetano (Conchetta) of Florida and Robert Gaetano (Vicky) of Florida; his grandchildren, Danielle, Richard and Peter Gaetano; and his great grandchildren, Vin, Adriana, Rosina, Domenica Losi, Maiella, Luca and Giana Gaetano.
