It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peter Matthews (Newburgh, New York), who passed away on April 15, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Paul Matthews; and his siblings, Spiro Matheos, Demetra Lambrinakos, George Matheos of Montreal Canada, Paraskevi Karagiannis of Long Island, Areti Koumourdas of Long Island and Evangelos Matheos of Long Island.
He is survived by: his parent Joanne Matthews; and his sisters, Evangelia Panageas of Long Island and Anna Kagioulis of Montreal. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church or to the Peter "the Great" Matthews Memorial Scholarship Fund.
