He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Courtney Ellison and Loretta Dobbins Ferris; his wife Rose Elizabeth Vesely; his children, Jeanne Versweyveld (Felix), Debra Sinclair (Raymond), Robert Jr., Rosanne Roe (David), Mary Ellen Ammirati (John), Michele Ferris (Michael Bigg) and John Ferris (Blaise Gomez); his grandchildren, Danielle Costanzo, Felix R., Matthew Versweyveld, Mark, Andrew Sinclair, Robert Ferris III, Alexis, Dillon Ferris, Jason Roe, Jayme Roe, Marie Palatnik, John Ammirati Jr., Angelina Ammirati, John Ferris Jr. and Kathryn Ferris; his sister-in-law Joyce Vesely; and his close friend Margaret Baxter. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Rose E. Ferris; sisters: Cora Elsie Decker, Leona Mae Doolittle; brothers: Edward Ferris and Courtney Ellison Ferris Jr. Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home.
