He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Smith and Ada Smith (Cook). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Smith (Cronk); his children, Debra Lynn Johnson (Ramond), Cathy Smith McCarty (Timothy) of Cornwall and John "Jack" H. Smith Jr. (Katherine) of Poughkeepsie; his grandchildren, John H. Smith III, Julia Smith, Victoria Johnson, Steven Johnson (Kristell), Austin McCarty (Christina) and Connor McCarty; and his great grandchildren, Keegan and McKenna McCarty.
Facial covering must be worn in the funeral home at all times, and social distancing must be practiced.
