He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Smith and Annabelle Sulfridge Smith; his former spouse Aletha Irish; his daughter Linda B. Brant; his siblings, Gordon Smith, Dennis Smith, George Smith, Kenny Smith, Norman Smith, Margaret Mossholder and Ardella Tatro; and his stepsons, Dean Cotton and Dale Cotton.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Cotton; his son Clarence L. Smith Jr. of Wellsville; his stepsons, Bruce Cotton (Jeannie) of Avon and Brian Cotton (Rebecca) of Rochester; his sisters-in-law, Marion Smith of Hamburg, Joan Smith of Cuba and Theresa Smith of Niagara Falls; and his sisters, Penny McDaniels of Oakfield, NY, Mabel Tomasine of Morristown, TN, Mary Mitchell of Jefferson City, TN and Barbara Mullen of Oakfield, NY.
