He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gibas and Josephine Gibas (Karamanski); his son Kevin J. Gibas; and his brothers, Jerry and Paul Gibas.
He is survived by: his wife Dreena Gibas; his children, Danny Gibas (Heather) and Cara Kirkland (Scott); his grandsons, Austin Rzucidlo, Nicholas Napolitano and Cole Kirkland; and his sisters-in-law, Sophie Gibas and Diane Gibas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
