He was predeceased by: his father Abraham Moses Sawma. He is survived by: his mother Janice Sawma (Hagerman); his sons, Brian Sawma (Debbie), Ronald Sawma (Rose) and Frank Sawma II; his grandchildren, Daniella Sawma, Brian Sawma (Jamie), Santana Sawma, Toni Snyder (Brian) and Korey Sawma; his great grandchildren, Ian, Anthony, Korey and Athena; and his siblings, Helen Rozine Nicosia (Peter), Doris Bailor (Michael), David Sawma, Sadie Kotovich (John) and Mary Pazzalia (Domenick).

In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings made by made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
