He was predeceased by: his parents, John Portik and Margaret 'Inez' Portik (Morse). He is survived by: his wife Josephine Judith Portik (Marra); his children, John III and Judith-Anne Portik; his grandchildren, Alissa and Tyler Portik; and his brother Donald Portik (Joan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
