It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary F. Gawel of Niagara Falls, New York, who passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As Mary departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Nawrocki and Rose Nawrocki (Mamon); and her brother Steven Nawrocki. She is survived by: her husband Chester "Chet" Gawel; and her children, Kathleen A. Henderson, David Gawel (Theresa), Michael S. Gawel (Michelle), Gary P. Gawel and Robert C. Gawel. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Charity of One's choice.
