Dorothea Engelhardt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothea Engelhardt of Nissequogue, New York, born in Flushing, New York, who passed away on July 25, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Armando Melendez and Margaret Melendez (Murphy); her husband John P. Engelhardt; and her siblings, Charlotte Levine, Theresa Klose, Margaret Ann Melendez and Michael Melendez.
She is survived by: her sister Rita Orosz of Saint James, NY; her daughter Marianne; her son-in-law Richard Sassone of Nissequogue, NY; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Sassone (Ashley) and Jacquelynn Sassone (Steve Castelli). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
