He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Haig and Erma Sturgeon Haig; his wife Barbara E. Foster; and his brothers, Robert, Donald and Douglas Haig.

He is survived by : his children, JoAnn Snider Croasdaile (John) of Massena and Michael Haig of Tucson, AZ; his stepchildren, Kim Clary of Potsdam and Kyle Foster (Katie) of Hannawa Falls; his grandchildren, Corey Snider and Meaghan Breaux (Nathan); his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Clark, Nathan, Cameron Rae and Morgan Foster; his great grandchild Alexandra Breaux; and his sister Ann Burns of Norwood.
