He is survived by : his wife Mary; his children, Jaimie Frye (Raymond), Rebecca Hoffman and Daniel Madsen; his grandsons, Ryan and Charlie; his siblings, Richard Madsen (Carol) and Jeannie Smith (Wayne); his pet Gus; his siblings-in-law, Frank and Judith Nicolazzo; and his aunt JoAnne Daigneault.

“Deepest condolences to Mary and Family at the loss of this dear man. My Family was fortunate to have had Chris as part of our gang growing up. My Brother and Sister-in-Law maintained that friendship with Chris and Mary throughout his too-short life. I saw him fairly recently at a family gathering. He was his usual upbeat, congenial self as he greeted us all by name, with questions and comments that revealed how much he cared about the details of our lives. I loved him. Sue Nayudu”
