He was predeceased by : his father-in-law Robert Morton; his brother Danny Chiappetta of Rye, NY; and his brother-in-law Robert A. Morton of Greenwich, RI.. He is survived by : his parents, Frank Chiappetta and Raffaela Chiappetta (Parrinello) of Rye, NY; his wife Nanette; his sons, John Jr. of North Salem, NY and Nicholas Chiappetta of Stamford, CT; his mother-in-law Nancy Morton of Spring Hill, FL; his siblings, Frank Chiappetta of Rye, NY, Mario Chiappetta (Lisa) of Mamaroneck, NY, Marco Chiappetta (Adrienne) of Norwalk, CT, Maria O'Brien (Vincent) of Mount Pleasant, NY and Serina Pecora (Joe) of Rye, NY; his sister-in-law Patricia West (David) of Wilton, NY; and his nieces and nephews, Stephen O'Brien, Danny Chiappetta, Joey, Robert, Christopher, Michael Pecora, Tony Brown, Joseph West, Emma (Zeb), Nina Chiappetta, Courtney, Kayla O'Brien, Isabella, Sophia Chiappetta and Amanda Brown.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made in John's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
