Gordon Ross wrote a sympathy message

“You should know that Coach Colsey can be credited with much of my success in life, and am sure many others. His examples set in the wrestling room of hard work, discipline, sacrifice and sportsmanship carried over with me for every other endeavor I ever attempted. I will always treasure his support and confidence in me as a young man navigating the perils of the teenage years. I am sorry for your loss and know that he will be missed. Gordon Ross. SHHS’75”

Scott Kelly wrote a sympathy message

“Coach Colsey built character, confidence, humility, mental strength and respect in all his wrestlers. The rigorous practices over 4 years in the "wrestling room" at Sleepy Hollow provided many many life lessons. A cornerstone learning experience I have been able to use in my lifetime. May he rest in peace.”
