He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Edward and Mary Mahoney (Verosky); and his brother Gerald Mahoney. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Mahoney (Finck); his children, Edward Mahoney (Melanie), David Mahoney (Andrea), Ryan Mahoney (Melissa "Missy") and Maureen Retzlaff (Eric); his siblings, Michael Mahoney (Andrea), Tom Mahoney and Patricia Lauta (Roy); and his grandchildren, Madeline, Garrett, Delaney, Zane, Samantha Mahoney, Declan and Esme Retzlaff. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home (533 Meadow Dr, North Tonawanda, NY 14120). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Czestochowa Church (626 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda, NY 14120).
