With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Gantt (Norwich, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oswald Schieffer and June Schieffer; her siblings, Joanne Beeching and Michael Scheiffer; her niece Danielle Migdal; and her uncles, Jack (Sissy), James and Robert Lewis (Jean).
She is survived by: her daughter Saundra Gantt; her grandchildren, Ravyn Sahara, Killian Kegan, Saige Seraya and Dradon Maddox; her children, Rebecca Ertelt (Dan) and Evan Ertelt; her siblings, Eddie Schieffer (Carol) and Theresa Schieffer; and her uncles, Richard Lewis (Cindy) and George Lewis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Jude's Research, Tunnel for Towers, and the Sturge-Weber foundation, all causes she gave to monthly for decades.
