He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Thomason and Thelma Thomason (Brooks); his wife Ellen M. Thomason; his sister Marlene Cowilich; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Thomason.

He is survived by : his sons, Jeffery Thomason of Odessa and Donald Thomason (Cheryl) of Odessa; his friend Sharon Wood; his brother William Thomason (Mary) of Bradenton, FL; and his grandchildren, Ashley Thomason and Alicia Mahaney (Blake).
