We bid farewell to Hazel Irene Friot of Ogdensburg, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 5, 2025 at the age of 95. Hazel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Hazel leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her father George Hurlbert; her son William Friot; her mother Ida May Hurlbert (Christie); and her husband Douglas H. Friot. She is survived by: her children, Stephen Friot (Brenda) of Ogdensburg, NY and Debra Mahnke (Terry) of Ogdensburg, NY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Flackville Cemetery.
