Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mariel leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Webster Smith and Gladys Smith (Truax); and her brothers, Murton Smith and Karl Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Ralph E. Goodwin (Cheryl) of Ogdensburg and Wayne A. Goodwin (Juliette) of Durham; her granddaughters, Renata Sheehan (Jesse) of Morristown and Shawna LaFave (Sarah) of Tupper Lake; and her sisters, Rachel Carignan of Utah and Susan Kerr. She is also survived by Eight great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Ingham Cemetery (541 Sand Street Rd, Hammond, NY 13646).
