We are sad to announce that on March 8, 2018, at the age of 92, Sophie Balcerzak (Olean, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent John Kush; her children, Walter Balcerzak (Butch) and Patricia (Patsy); her son-in-law Charles O'Connor; and her siblings, Stanley Kush, Frank Kush, Walter Kush, Phillip "Jake" Kush, Joseph Kush, Victoria Malick, Mary Lynch and Anna Allen.
She is survived by: her parent Katherine Soroka Kush; her spouse Walter J. Balcerzak; her daughter Judith Balcerzak (Judie) of New York City; her granddaughters, Elizabeth Gaines (Oscar) of Olean, Jennifer Muller (Timothy) of Charleston, S. C. and Katherine O'Connor of Charleston; her great grandchild Benjamin Walter Wood Muller of Charleston; and her sister Rose Witter (Charles) of Portville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
