She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Matthews and Katherine Wolcott Matthews; her brother Gerald Matthews; her mother-in-law Angie Bonfiglio; and her brother-in-law Tom Bonfiglio.
She is survived by: her wife Donna Bonfiglio; her children, Elizabeth Alkalay (Greg Alkalay) and Brendan Mullen (Emily Parmenter); her father-in-law Tom Bonfiglio; her siblings, Maureen Clark (Terry), Eileen Matthews, Amy Kruger (Ken), Peggy Warner (Ken) and Donald Matthews (Alice); her sister-in-law Grace Bonfiglio; and her grandchildren, Harper Alkalay and Dylan Alkalay.
Contributions in Carolyn's memory can be made to the Oneida Health Foundation or to the Upstate Foundation with a designation for the Upstate Cancer Center.
