He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Dr. John D. and Lucie R. Syracuse George, Jr.; his wife Sharon Mercuri; his children, Deborah Hesler (Robert) of Miramar, Jill Bean (William) of Scotia, Jenna Onody (Nick) of Toronto, Canada, John D. George IV of Scotia and Dr. Benjamin George (Kerry) of Rochester; his grandchildren, Andrew (Siwon), Michael, Kathryn, Amanda Hesler, William Jr., Natalie Bean, Kylie, J. D. George V, Lucas George and Brielle Onody; his great grandchildren, Zoe, Caleb and Maleah Hesler; and his siblings, Janet M. Stewart (Mark) of Jacksonville, FL, David R. George (Janet) of Utica and Dr. Robert W. George (Louise) of Rochester.
