It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Whittemore (Oneonta, New York), born in Ilion, New York, who passed away on June 8, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Sprague and Jennie Sprague (Wilcox); her husband Robert Whittemore; her son Brad; her daughter-in-law Charlene Whittemore; her siblings, Joan Ward (Ronald), Edith Graves (George), Chuck Sprague (Helen) and Dick Sprague (Marge); and her brother-in-law Harold Whittemore (Edna).
She is survived by: her children, Brian Whittemore (Jan Best) of Remer, MN, Barbara Stanton (Joe) and Bethany Vargason (Terry); her grandchildren, Erik Whittemore (Amy) of Marietta, GA, Ian Whittemore (Amy), Lori Mannina (Matt), Kevin Stanton (Wende Ebberts), Kyle Vargason (Caroline) and Derrick Vargason (Chelsea); her great grandchildren, Ashley Mannina (Ryan Martini), Sarah Stento (Joe), Alex, Nate and Maeve; and her great great grandchild Adelyn Martini. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held when it is safe and responsible to do so due to the coronavirus.
