It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine M. Gallagher (Oneonta, New York), born in Albany, New York, who passed away on May 31, 2019, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Muirhead, Jr. and Mary Robinson Muirhead; her children, Dr. John W. Gallagher (Barbara) of Plattsburgh and Jeannie Hobkirk (Bob) of Oneonta; her grandchildren, Sean Gallagher (Paula), Catherine Hobkirk, Cara Hobkirk Mussaw (Ken) and Rob Hobkirk (Ashu); her great grandchildren, Kevin, Jonah, Zoe Gallagher, Trey, Brent, Jayden Hathaway, Ryan, Kylie Mussaw and Sophia Hobkirk; her sisters-in-law, Patricia Gallagher Gorton and Rosalie Gallagher Pollman; her husband John Joseph Gallagher; her grandson Patrick Joseph Gallagher; her daughter Maureen A. Gallagher; Scott, Jan and Linda Muirhead. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Catherine's name be made to Oneonta Dollars for Scholars, PO Box 1083, Oneonta, NY, 13820 to go toward a scholarship for a high school senior going into the field of education.
