He was predeceased by: his mother Adelaide (Escher); his stepfather John Wells; his father George Brandt; his siblings, Geoffrey Brandt and Marilyn Ruth Gerowe; and his granddaughter Sarah Rosaleen Prendergast.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Brandt (Neill); his son David M. Brandt; his grandsons, Tucker and Austin Brandt; his daughter Deborah Prendergast (Patrick); his grandchildren, Rebecca Lanahan (Shane) and P. J. Prendergast; the mother of his children Cheryl Newton (Wart); his stepchildren, David Michael Palombo (Dee), Terry A. Dundon (Dave) and Karen K. Bidwell (Ralph); and his brothers, William Wells of John Wells, J. R and Robert Wells. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and long-time close friends.
