He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Carter and Mary Carter (Keaveney); his former wife Verna Dingman; his wife Verna Carter; and his children, Cheryl Hyatt (Jeffrey), Deborah Herrmann (James), James Carter (Beth) and Michael Carter. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
