With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan E. Gillingham (Oneonta, New York), born in Sidney, New York, who passed away on October 20, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David C. Howland and Lottie Ada Howland (Finch). She is survived by: her husband Lynn Gillingham; her children, Sherry Barberio (Peter), Sandra Fiaschi (Clint), Vicki Judd (Steve), Richard Gillingham (Lori), Gordon Gillingham, Daniel Gillingham and Connie King (Joseph); her grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Lauryn, Caleb, Kaeli, Sam, Justin, Charlie, Shelly and Mike; and her siblings, Harold Howland (Linda), Jean Howland, Nancy Miller (Edward) and Linda Smith (Doug). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
You may be asked to wait and social distancing will be in place. Due to COVID restrictions, the funeral service will be private for family.
Joan has asked for contributions to be made to the Otego Fire Department or Helios Care, in her name, in lieu of flowers.
