Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Leo James Alex of Oneonta, New York, born in Rochester, New York, who passed away at the age of 78, on October 28, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alex and Gladys Alex (Torkelson); and his sister Georgia Malaktaris. He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Maria Miller (Lisa), Elizabeth Ellen Alex and Katherine Demetra Alex; his sons-in-law, Stephen Miller and Earl Millett; his grandchildren, Abigail Rebecca Miller, Allison Elizabeth Miller, Thalia Alexandra Millett, George Demetri Alex and Phoebe Ellen Alex; his brother-in-law George Malaktaris; and his sibling's children, Tony Malaktaris, Maria Carpenter, Jami Thom and Rita Golden. He is also survived by his three daughters and four granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Leo's memory may be made to the James L. and Gladys T. Alex Mathematics Scholarship Award.
