He is survived by: his mother Nancy L. Heffernan of Oneonta; his sister Kate Heffernan; his sibling's child Darren Rose; Dayana Rose. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Donations in his memory are asked to be made to the Susquehanna Animal Shelter, 4841 New York 28, Cooperstown, NY 13326.
