He was predeceased by: his father Francis "Smitty". He is survived by: his wife Dolores Hugues; his mother Elizabeth "Betty" Whitney (Slater); his stepfather Sherman; his sons, Peter and Joseph Simmons; and his pets, Little Bit and Norman.
