He was predeceased by: his mother K. Ruth Farnand; his stepfather Robert Farnand; and his father James LaPlant. He is survived by: his siblings, Brenda Ferra, Wayne LaPlant, Jerry LaPlant (Diana), Scott LaPlant and Steve LaPlant; his aunt Dolly Bates (Mike); and his nephews, Bradley and Jeremy.
