She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Sitarek of Orchard Park, NY; her parents, Lawrence Popielinski and Sally Popielinski (Kita); and her siblings, Mary Gilmore, Wally Popielinski and James Popielinski.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Loux, Christine Noonan, Rick Sitarek and Sarah DeLeo; her grandchildren, Kortney Glendenning, Rylee Noonan, Benjamin Loux, Laura Loux, Dillon Sitarek, Blake Sitarek and Alek DeLeo; her great grandchildren, Camryn Glendenning, Raegan Glendenning and Lincoln Glendenning; and her siblings, Carole Holtz, Kathy Downey, Annie Tuttle, Sally Haynes and Larry Popielinski.
In lieu of flowers, Joanne requested donations be made to help build water wells in Africa - an outreach program that was close to her heart.
