She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles M. Newton and Antoinette Eastman Newton. She is survived by: her son James Gibson (Carla); her brother Charles Newton (Tammy); and her grandchildren, Amanda (Matt), Alyssa (Anthony), Drew and Tommy. She is also survived by great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
